Mr. Horman co-founded Horman Nichols in 2016. His practice areas include estate planning, family law, civil litigation, collections and real estate law. In addition to representing individual and corporate clients,
Mr. Horman is a certified mediator and is often referred cases by the Circuit Court for Frederick County to assist the parties in resolving their disputes.
Mr. Horman frequently serves as a trustee appointed by the Circuit Court for Frederick County to sell real estate when a sale in lieu of partition is granted.

Mr. Nichols co-founded Horman Nichols in 2016. His practice consists primarily of litigating and defending general negligence cases, workers' compensation cases, premises liability cases, and contract cases. Mr. Nichols has been repeatedly recognized by his peers for his ability and professionalism. He has been recognized as a Rising Star in Maryland Super Lawyer magazine in 2012 – 2016 and as a Super Lawyer in 2021-2023.

Mr. Horman begin working as an attorney in Frederick, Maryland in 1976 and was a co-founder of the firm Shoemaker, Horman & Clapp in 1986. After serving in an Of Counsel role for Horman Nichols for nearly 8 years and assisting clients with a wide range of real estate and business law needs,
Mr. Horman has retired from the practice of law and now enjoys spending more time with his friends and family, including his children and grandchildren.
Trevor M. Addie-Carter is an Associate Attorney with Horman Nichols, LLC where he represents individuals and businesses before administrative agencies, the District Court of Maryland, and the Maryland Circuit Courts. His practice areas include family law, personal injury, collections, and landlord/tenant law.
Mr. Addie-Carter has been recognized by his peers as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2021 to 2025 and has served as a Best Interest Attorney representing minor children in custody proceedings. Outside of the office, Mr. Addie-Carter regularly volunteers his time with local organizations.
